The CFO also collaborates with other executive team members to contribute to the overall direction of the company, including providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. 

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO): The CMO is responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies and customer/client engagement. They lead the initiatives related to brand management, promotions, and public relations. This individual also conducts market research and analysis to better understand industry needs and inform future marketing strategies. The CMO works closely with many members of the executive team to ensure the team initiatives are well-aligned. They also oversee a marketing team who support the company’s marketing initiatives.

Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO): This individual is responsible for managing the organization’s people. This encompasses a wide range of duties, including recruiting, training, compensation and benefits, maintaining compliance, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement and satisfaction. The CHRO ensures the company’s culture is well-aligned with its vision and mission. This individual works closely with the other members of the C-suite, as many of their initiatives overlap with other executive functions.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO): This title may also be referred to as a Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CTO or CIO organizes and oversees the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure, innovation and research, compliance, and cyber security. In a technology-driven world, this executive plays a critical role in leveraging technology to guide the organization toward achieving their short and long-term goals.
